User Experience of Xiaomi Pet Camera
About Project of Xiaomi Pet Camera
As a company whose constant innovation has gone to most homes, Xiaomi should have a more user-friendly software for managing its smart home products to provide a pleasant digital experience for customers. As a leader in smart home technology, Xiaomi has a wide variety of smart home products intended to create a safe, comfortable, convenient and green smart home. In this study, a team of four students-Xiaoyu Chen, Xueyi Lu, Ying Ma, and Jiajia Zhang performed five sessions with user testing to determine the user experience issues with Mi Home. For this user testing approach, we applied a "think aloud" criterion to participants so they could speak freely while completing tasks. Screen recordings were captured using Zoom and video, and notes were taken during the sessions. Our team compiled and analyzed the results and made five design recommendations based on our findings. The following sections present our key findings and share our five design recommendations. We hope this research will help MiHome to better provide smart home services to pet owners in the future, effectively solve cat owners' worries, and make its users less bothered by various problems that arise in the app, so that smart home technology can better improve the quality of life for people and pets.
Data Analysis
After the interview, we sorted the data and made various statistical charts to more clearly show the user's thoughts and pain points when they use Xiaomi Pet Camera.
Conclusions
After data analysis, we discovered some key findings. These key findings are the real feelings of users participating in the survey. These findings bring more opportunities for the future development of Xiaomi pet camera.
